We relied heavily on the camerawork, timing and editing to get the story across. From a technical perspective, the final product starts out very dark with bright pops of light and color throughout. This level of darkness, while looking great in our 3D render passes, experienced awful artifacts when put through streaming compression. To counteract this, we relied on an old trick that breaks up the compression banding by adding animated noise to every shot.
