As a continued content generating effort with a financial services firm, we have been outputting detailed car spec videos to educate viewers on the features of newly released vehicles. At the time, because these cars could not be taken out on the road, we utilized a large studio space and a remotely controlled Cinebot to get precision shots of each car.

Concept & Development

Because each shot was pre-planned and could be programmed into the robot, we created a template that could be used for any vehicle and made the post-production process much faster. Text and tracking elements were composited into the live-action plates to call out different features and talking points.

Outcome

Because we couldn't drive the actual vehicles for legal reasons, we acquired 3D models of each vehicle and animated them to demonstrate safety features such as cruise control, lane keep assist and cross-traffic alert. This also provided an oppurtunity to place the vehicle into environements that we otherwise couldn't.
