After creating over 400+ pieces of car content, you learn a thing or two. There are a lot of logistics involved in doing one car review in a day, much less two. It requires a stellar talent that can improvise and move quick, and luckily we have great automotive minds in front of our cameras. It takes coordination with fleets to acquire the newest trims, quiet shoot locations for stand-ups, safe locations for driving impressions, and of course some luck with the weather.

Concept & Development
For this particular review set, the theme was luxury vehicles that normally retailed well above $100,000, but the base models could be purchased for around $70,000 including the delivery charge. We knew we wanted to film in upstate New York to access the large fleet they have, so we decided on a small town along the Hudson. There's all kinds of amazing places listed on AirBnb, and this remodeled church provided an amazing backdrop for the higher-end vibe we were going for.

Outcome
To break down all that has to be filmed in a day, there is the stand-up section where the vehicle is introduced as we do a short walk-around. We review the front and back seats, along with all technology and comfort features. Then we move to driving impressions that out talent does solo, but we are simultaneously recording b-roll of wheels, headlights and other angles to enhance the end product. Then we shoot vehicle-to-vehicle tracking shots of the car on the road, and end the day with drone driving shots.
