In June of 1942, six months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the Battle at Midway again tested the strength of the U.S. Navy against a Japanese aerial attack.
This cinematic featurette was produced as one long sequence but was ultimately split into many different parts for a History Channel documentary program. There were dozens of vfx shots, explosions and canon fire shared between aircraft carriers and 6 different types of planes like Bazze's Spitfire and the Mitsubishi A6M.
The original script was developed by Metanoia Concepts for adaptation to television. Additional graphics and data screens were created by Mogue for use in later variations of the program.

The japanese imperial navy has run an invincible campaign throughout the pacific, the only thing stopping them is the badly wounded and greatly outnumbered U.S. Navy.
